Card Throwing
Rick Smith Jr. gained international notoriety when he broke the Guiness World Record for distance playing card throwing on March 21, 2002. His record-breaking throw was
an amazing 216 feet 4 inches, which topped the previous record by over 15 feet! The throw was performed at the Cleveland State University Convocation Center in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and can be seen on youtube.
Besides throwing cards amazing distances, Rick is known for amazing accuracy, speed, and power. In his numerous television appearances, Rick can been seen slicing bananas, carrots, celery, and other objects in half with ease. Rick is even capable of throwing a card through the rind of a watermelon, that's one powerful throw!
